This new, tiny person that you've known for the last 9 months, but just met.

You try to soak it all in. Each grimace. Each time their eyes open. Each breath.

You know it'll go fast, so you try to make time stop....but you know.

It won't stop.

Let me meet you in your home, hospital or birthing center.

Allow me into that sacred first 48 hours of life where I will capture raw life. I'll spend an hour with you. I will document your room, your baby's first bed, your time together with this fresh new family member.
